Health system
A country's health system comprises the complex system of patient care and health maintenance. Depending on the perspective, health systems involve institutions, stakeholders, regulations, and processes responsible for fostering and maintaining health, as well as preventing and treating disease and injury.
The goals of a health system include, among others: effectiveness; just, need-based care; equal opportunity, which means access to health care services regardless of income and status; economic effectiveness, and financial feasibility.
